About This Wine

Silvaner is planted across central Europe, particularly in Germany and in some parts of Alsace. With the vine's early ripening bud, it is reliable for wine making, but in these parts it is susceptible to spring frost damage. Because of this, Silvaner is now being replaced throughout Germany with Riesling and Muller-Thurgau.

This particular wine is made from grapes grown in the Nahe Valley and is an excellent example of a German Silvaner.
