The Ngaruroro River laid these soils incorporating volcanic pumice sands down centuries ago. The free draining and low nutrient nature combine to help balance the naturally vigorous nature of the vines.
A concentrated Merlot, displaying meaty gamey flavours combined with primary spice and plums, and coffee and integrated oak. Rich, powerful and elegant.
