Philip Trease, Director

Philip Trease graduated from Newcastle University in 1995 with a degree in Business Management.. He worked for Boots The Chemists in the early days of in e-commerce and interactive TV and joined Weavers in 1998.

In 2000 he won the Roosevelt Memorial Traveling Scholarship and spent three traveling around the USA studding the wine trade and the evolution of online shopping. Upon his return he set out his clear direction for launching Weaverswines.com. In 2001 the web site was the regional winner of the UK Online for Business Awards.

Philip has a particular interest in wines from Spain, Italy and the South of France and at the moment has a fetish for all types of Pinot Noir. He also loves all types of whisky.

An active sportsman, Philip has a keen interest in squash, walking and camping.
